The Butterfly Rush paintings are an explosion of neon pinks with subtle splashes of purple and turquoise, topped with not so subtle striking fluorescent yellow. Abstract butterflies and flowers emerge from the explosion of neon pink in the form of glossy black enamel paint dribbled onto the canvas's surface.
They look fantastic together and will make an incredible statement in any home, but also look stunning as singular paintings.
ARTIST’S NOTES
I painted the two Butterfly Rush paintings simultaneously. Both canvases were nailed to my living room wall side-by-side, and I let loose with neon pink!
Butterflies are an incredible vision of new beginnings. They have been an inspiration to me for several years and often appear in my work. Butterflies go through an amazing transformation, and I believe each of us has the opportunity to do the same. To leave our past behind and start fresh, transform from something old into something new.
Sometimes, it may be a huge transformation that you are going through. Sometimes, just the simplicity of knowing that a new day is an opportunity to start again is a refreshing reminder to help you keep going.
I hope that these paintings inspire anyone who needs reminding to keep going and keep working hard. Whatever challenges you face today, you can do it.
